Students officially began earning their online bachelor's degree in business administration this semester. Classes began for the 8 enrolled students and started at the same time as classes on the SIUC campus.

The Online Undergraduate Completion Program is designed for students who have completed their general and core coursework requirements. This program accommodates students transferring from community colleges or universities who want to complete their bachelor’s degree of business administration.

Ann Pearson, Online Undergraduate Program Coordinator, is excited about the launch of the program. "Thanks to the hard work by the College of Business' administration, director of enrollment management, CIO, tech support staff, student advising, and the instructors and teaching assistants involved with the program, the program started quite smoothly," she said. "I spoke with most of the students over the weekend and they were excited about the program and appreciative of the available support. I expect the semester will be exciting for all of us as more students join the program and it continues to evolve."

Applications are being accepted for summer semester 2011. For more information about the program, please visit http://onlineug.business.siu.edu or contact Jill Gebke, the Director of Enrollment Management, at (618) 453-7487 or jgebke@business.siu.edu.
