AMA host 3rd annual Turkey Trot

The American Marketing Association at Southern Illinois University will host the 3rd Annual Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 19, 2011. Participants of all ages are welcomed to join in on the fun for a good cause.
The Turkey Trot event features a 5K run/walk as well as opportunities to raise awareness about Spinal Muscular Atrophy and the Special Olympics. Participants are asked to donate 15 dollars and a canned food item on the day of the race. All of the money collected will be donated to, and the food items will be donated to local food pantries.
“The Turkey Trot is a great way to have fun and spike some competition to help raise money for SMA: Spinal Muscular Atrophy and the Special Olympics. Our past two years have had great attendance, and we are hoping to top it this year,” states Allie Idleman, an AMA executive board member.
