2012 Honors Day Ceremony

On April 15, the College of Business recognized the hard work and success of its students, faculty, and staff at the annual Honors Day awards presentation.125 students were recognized with scholastic honors, and 100 students were awarded over $153,728 in scholarships and tuition waivers.
One student from each major was recognized as the “Outstanding Senior” in his/her respective area: Alison Riggs in accounting, Christopher Bevis in business and administration, Jordee Justice in business economics, Stephen Putbrese in finance, Caroline Ebelhar in management, and Trevor Ward in marketing. Mr. Putbrese was also selected as the overall Outstanding Senior in the College of Business.
Several outstanding graduate students were also recognized at Honors Day. Susana Arevalo Acosta was named Most Outstanding MBA Student, Ioana Marie Boros as the Most Outstanding International MBA Student, Cristina Trapani for the Most Outstanding Female MBA Student, and Jennifer Franczak for the Most Outstanding female Ph.D. student.
Outstanding faculty and staff awards were presented. Cheryl Burke Jarvis received the Outstanding Researcher Award, Wallace Davidson was named Outstanding Graduate Teacher, Vincent Intintoli was named Outstanding Undergraduate Teacher, Gregory Hoffeditz was named Outstanding Term Faculty, Jill Gebke received the Outstanding Service Award, Andrew Scott was named Outstanding Graduate Assistant Teacher, and Emily Morgan was named Outstanding Student Worker.
