Accounting alumnus appointed to Sanmina Corporation Board of Directors

Eugene Delaney (Accounting, '78)

Sanmina Corporation, a leading integrated manufacturing solutions company, announced the appointment of Eugene A. Delaney, an accounting alumnus of the SIU College of Business, to the company's Board of Directors effective December 9, 2013.

Prior to retiring from the communications industry, where he spent the majority of his career, Delaney was Executive Vice President of Product & Business Operations, where he was responsible for global products, supply chain, IT, procurement and back office operations for Motorola Solutions, Inc. (MSI). During his 35 year career at MSI and its predecessor Motorola, Inc., Delaney also led several businesses, including Enterprise Mobility Solutions.

Michael J. Clarke was another individual appointed to the board. Jure Sola, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sanmina Corporation, said, “We are pleased to have Mr. Clarke and Mr. Delaney join Sanmina's Board.  The combination of their industry and market experience will be a great asset.  We look forward to working with them and gaining their perspective as we continue to position the company for the future.”

Delaney earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from SIU in 1978, and went on to earn a Master of Business Administration from DePaul University.
