Andrew Cohler (MPA '15) is a Senior Analyst, Risk Management; Compliance at American Airlines.
Andrew Roszack (MPA ’08) has completed the David A. Winston Health Policy Fellowship and has worked as a Senior Public Health Advisor at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Emergency Care Coordination Center. Andrew was intimately involved in the development and launch of the H1N1 Self Evaluation Website on flu.gov. Andrew currently serves as the Executive Director of the Institute for Childhood Preparedness.
Billye Chabot (MPA’ 05) is currently the Executive Director at the Seward House Museum.
Blair Wilson (MPA ’09) has accepted a position as an Inspector/Liasion with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). She works under the Department of Homeland Security and is responsible for the North Central Region of the United States.
Carla Smith (MPA’ 06) is currently the Registrar and 3D Artifact Curator at Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.
Chris Walls (MPA ’07) was recently selected as the new Executive Director for the Murphysboro, Illinois Chamber of Commerce.
Courtney Goodman (MPA ’08) is currently working as a Community Organizer Specialist with the Illinois Coalition of Community Services.
Emily Keeley (Kearney) (MPA '09) is a Certification and Workplace Planning Coordinator for the City of Milwaukee.
Gary Williams (MPA ’14) serves as Carbondale’s City Manager.
Haseeb Mirza (MPA ’15) is currently an Aviation Planner at the Aviation Planning Group.
James Miller (MPA ’99) has finished his Master of International Policy and Practice (MIPP) at the Elliot School of International Affairs at the George Washington University. James works as a deputy director of Policy and Strategic Communications within the Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) Program at NASA Headquarters
Jarrod Echols (MPA '13), Jarrod Echols is a solutions architect at Flashpoint who specializes in working with public-sector clients. Before joining Flashpoint, he was with the White House information technology team, where he identified and combated network threats to the Executive Office of the President.
Jodie Golden (MPA ’05) served as executive director of the Illinois Capital Development Board under the administration of Governor Bruce Rauner. Jodie currently serves as Chief of Staff of the Indiana Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch.
Joel Lovelace (MPA '88), has now retired in 2021 as Director of Program Planning, Evaluation and Management, Employee Benefits Security Administration, US Department of Labor.
John Gulley (MPA ’05) is currently the Controller at Rend Lake College, in Ina, Illinois.
Jorden Thomas (MPA’ 20) is currently a Contracts Administrator at Montgomery County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board in Dayton, Ohio.

Kristen Vogt Veggeberg (MPA ’10) is currently the director of STEAM and Innovation for the Boy Scouts of America.
Margaret McKenzie (MPA’ 18) is currently the Community Support Team Case Manager at Association for Individual Development in Aurora, Illinois.
Maria Cristina Fontes Lima (MPA '96) is a lawyer and Public Manager. She writes: "20 years after my graduation as an MPA from SIUC, I want to witness how important it was for me to get that degree. It helped me in my career as a public manager, added both practical approaches and broader vision of public management scope and tools, and made a difference in the functions I performed as a member of three successive Cabo Verde governments from 2001 to 2016."
Michelle Platt (MPA ’14) is currently the Director of Outreach and Recruitment at Edmonds College, in Lynnwood, Washington.
Paul Echols (MPA ’92) joined the faculty of SIU as a part-time lecturer in 2008 and a full-time lecturer in 2020. He currently teaches courses in law enforcement, criminal investigation, and other areas of criminal justice. Professor Echols is a retired Investigations Commander from the Carbondale Police Department, where he served 28 years. He was a detective and certified crime scene investigator for much of his career. He is also a tenured full-time criminal justice instructor at Shawnee College in Ullin, Illinois.

Rosario Escalera (MPA '13) is an Assistant Appellate Prosecutor at the Illinois State's Appellate Prosecutor's office 4th District.
Sarah Dalu (MPA’ 17) is currently the Associate Director of Programs for Rape Advocacy, Counseling & Education Services (RACES) in Urbana, Illinois.
Shayla Ramos (MPA’ 09) is a Workforce Planner at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
