RSO Spotlight: Business Leadership Council

This week’s featured Registered Student Organization (RSO) is the Business Leadership Council (BLC).
The main purpose of the BLC is to unite business students and faculty through events held each semester. The goal of the organization is to create leaders out of every member. The BLC is also the umbrella organization for all College of Business RSO's, as each group has a specific representative who attends all BLC meetings to keep open communication between the organizations.
The BLC is an active organization which provides students with a wide variety of activities and service opportunities throughout the year. In the past, members have participated in the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk, Up Til Dawn, and every fall the organization co-sponsors a Zumba for Hope event to raise money for the SIH Cancer Center.
The next event planned for this semester is a College Carnival. The anticipated date for the event is March 21. More details will be announced on social media and the College of Business calendar as the plans are finalized.
All College of Business students are eligible to join BLC. Meetings are held every other Thursday at 4:30 p.m. in Rehn 108. The next meeting will be held Thursday, February 20. The dress code for all meetings is business casual, in order for students to become comfortable in a professional setting.
