Assistant to the Dean and Associate Dean

Dena Stogsdill has been a part of the SIU family since 1989. She joined the College of Business in 2005 as the development & marketing coordinator and has now been the assistant to the dean since 2011. She became an official Saluki in 2013 when she earned a Bachelor of Science in management from SIU.
Stogsdill is truly the heart of the Dean’s Office. She maintains and organizes schedules for the dean and associate dean. She administers, coordinates and integrates the operations of the Dean’s Office, including hiring, scheduling and managing of the Dean’s Office student workers. Stogsdill also handles the logistics of the AACSB site visit for the CoB and many more responsibilities that arise daily in the Dean’s Office.
Her influential efforts and positive spirit earned her the College of Business Outstanding Service Award in 2007. The constructive effect Stogsdill has on the CoB is reflected daily and is an essential piece to the success of the college.
She appreciates the sense of family that resonates throughout the faculty and staff of the college that has led to many friendships and established a productive working atmosphere. Even more, she enjoys witnessing the achievements and triumphs of our students throughout their journeys.
