At the time of induction, Peach had been elected four times to the office of St. Louis Circuit Attorney. At the time, he had held the position longer than anyone in the city's history. After attending SIUC and before completion of his law degree from St. Louis University, Peach worked at Brunswich Corporation as an employment manager and for the Chrysler Corporation in labor relations.
