Ryan Hammer (Finance ’99)

Ryan Hammer (Finance ’99) has built a distinguished career in the gaming and hospitality industry, combining strategic business leadership with the discipline of a former Saluki basketball player. After graduating from Southern Illinois University, he earned both his Juris Doctor and MBA from Indiana University, preparing him for executive leadership in complex, highly regulated environments.
Lane Hudgins (Economics ’03)

Lane Hudgins (Economics ’03) has built a nationally respected career as a forensic economist, recognized for her ability to translate complex economic theory into clear, practical analysis for high‑stakes legal matters. After earning her Ph.D. in Economics from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Lane founded her own consulting practice in southern Illinois, where she serves as an expert witness and economic analyst in civil and criminal cases across the country.
Phil Pfeffer (Economics ’66)

Phil Pfeffer, a 1966 economics graduate of Southern Illinois University, is Chairman and CEO of Treemont Capital Inc. and a nationally respected business leader whose career has shaped some of the world’s most influential organizations. Over the course of his distinguished career, Pfeffer has held top executive roles including President and COO of Random House and Chairman and CEO of Ingram Distribution Group, where he guided complex global enterprises through periods of significant transformation and growth.
